44 Union Square offers a unique, light filled space inspired by the 17th Century Indian Chief who continues today to symbolize peace – Chief Tamanend – the Chief of the Turtle Clan of the Lenni-Lenape Indian tribe and the architect of the 1628 peace treaty between European settlers and Native American Indians.
